Scanning Options
What this controls:
These options let you enable additional accessibility checks beyond the default.
Default baseline (always on):
- WCAG 2.1 AA – This is the current standard and is used by default for all scans.
Optional add-ons (toggles shown in the UI):
- Enable WCAG 2.2 Rules – Adds checks introduced in WCAG 2.2 on top of the WCAG 2.1 baseline.
- Enable AAA Rules – Adds stricter AAA-level checks (for teams targeting a higher bar than AA).
How it works:
- These toggles affect scans performed by the browser-script evaluations for this organization.
- Turn on the rules you want, then click Save Changes to apply.
Recommendations:
- Keep WCAG 2.1 AA as your baseline.
- Enable WCAG 2.2 to get ahead of newer requirements.
- Use AAA when you explicitly aim for enhanced accessibility beyond AA.
