Purpose

Tags help narrow dashboard and report results to specific pages or categories of interest on your website.

Tags List

Expanding a website from the tags list reveals all configured tags for it.

Add Tag

  1. Click Add Tag next to the site you wish to tag.
  2. Choose a condition:
    • Starts with – Targets a page and its subpages. Example: "starts with https://example.com/products" includes the main products page and all subpages.
    • Equals – Matches only a specific page, excluding subpages. Example: "equals https://example.com/products" excludes /products/shoes.
    • Contains – Matches URLs containing a specific phrase. Example: "contains shoes" matches multiple URLs across your site.
  3. Name your tag and confirm.
  4. Your tag will now be available for use within dashboards or reports.

Import Tags

  • The Import Tags feature allows you to copy tag structures from another site, automatically replacing the root URL with the target site’s URL.
  • Import Strategy Options:
    • Skip – Skip importing tags that already exist in the target location.
    • Update – Overwrite existing tags in the target location with the imported ones.
